Question for the day: is Lionel Richie dead or alive?

I was woken up this morning with the sound of Lionel Richie’s songs playing repeatedly, I couldn’t help but wonder whether the 64 year old is dead or alive. The internet didn’t help matters either as several websites report death others report alive

Many say he died on Tuesday 6^th other say he was confirmed alive on 7^th august. Obviously he can’t be dead and alive at the same time.

So is Lionel Richie dead or alive???
