Happy birthday
to the nonagenarian father of apartheid free South Africa
Today the 18th day of July was in
2010 declared “Mandela Day” by the United Nations (UN) as a special recognition
of Mandela’s selfless service for the good of humanity especially blacks in
South Africa.
This year’s
Mandela day will however be marked with soberness as the 95 year old has been
hospitalized for almost six weeks now
Activities lined up to celebrate the man whose
resolution was led to the end of apartheid, include school children all over
South Africa singing “happy birthday” to him this morning, a United Nations
special session, and a legacy bridge to be opened in Mveso, Transkei, near his
home town of Qunu.
happy birthday great man...i wish you well
